Baseball Recap: Chittenango Bears vs. Fulton Red Raiders
Chittenango not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 17th (when they won 12-5). They put the hurt on the Fulton Red Raiders with a sharp 11-5 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Red Raiders: they've now won four in a row.
Cooper Smith made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Smith was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Alex Pappas looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
