Marquez Wimberly Dazzles in Nazareth Area Win
Starting off the list is Nazareth Area's Marquez Wimberly, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Wimberly rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also caught a touchdown. His longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
The win (which was Nazareth Area's third in a row) raised their record to 6-2. Wimberly and Nazareth Area will host Northampton on Friday.

Dorian Thomas Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Easton Area got the W thanks in part to Dorian Thomas playing the best football he has all season. Thomas rushed for 154 yards and three touchdowns. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023.
If the past is any indication, Thomas could be in store for another big game when he takes on Freedom on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Thomas saw the Patriots), he rushed for 158 yards and a touchdown.

Easton Area picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Cole Ordway. Ordway did his part (and then some), throwing for 135 yards and two touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes, and also rushing for 94 yards on only ten carries for the 'W'. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
For the season, Ordway has thrown 11 touchdowns while averaging 139.8 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after eight games last season, he was only averaging 48.95 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 108.09 passer rating.

Naquan Thomason Has Career Rushing Day
Naquan Thomason posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Saturday. He rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 54 yards.
The victory (which was Parkland's sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1. Thomason and Parkland will face off against Whitehall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Peyton Falzone Makes It Two for Nazareth Area
The second Nazareth Area player making an appearance here is Peyton Falzone, and for good reason. He threw for 201 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes.
