Baseball Recap: Catholic Takes a Loss

Point Pleasant hit Catholic with a four-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Crusaders fell just short of the Big Blacks by a score of 9-8. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Logan Jefferies made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Noah Woods also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Point Pleasant, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Catholic will square off against Potsdam at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Point Pleasant, they will face off against Morehead at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
