Basketball Recap: Glenn Bobcats vs. R.J. Reynolds Demons

Glenn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 52-12 loss at the hands of the R.J. Reynolds Demons. The Bobcats lost against the Demons in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 41-39 score last time.

R.J. Reynolds found their leader in sophomore Hattie Boone, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. Boone continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Evie Beale was another key player, going 5 for 10 on her way to 10 points.

Glenn's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for R.J. Reynolds, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glenn will take on Mount Tabor at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Glenn is facing Mount Tabor at the right time seeing as Mount Tabor is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for R.J. Reynolds, they will challenge East Forsyth at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Forsyth will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something R.J. Reynolds surely won't give up without a fight.
