Baseball Recap: Ridgewood Comes Up Short

Ridgewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Elgin Storm.

Ridgewood saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Szewczyk, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Ridgewood's record is now 6-5. As for South Elgin, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgewood will welcome Latin at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Elgin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Park at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
