Volleyball Recap: Doral Academy Finds Playoff Glory Versus West Broward

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Doral Academy had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the West Broward Bobcats with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Firebirds as they're now sitting on three straight.

Doral Academy was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-20, 25-16.

Doral Academy was led to victory by Camila Sulbaran and Amy Smith. Sulbaran had ten digs and three aces, while Smith had 41 assists and four digs. Smith is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 17 or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Doral Academy now has a winning record of 13-12. As for West Broward, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 13-7 record.

Doral Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Cypress Bay on the 17th. West Broward does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
