Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Illinois Valley

Illinois Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 63-56 win over the New Hope Christian Warriors. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Illinois Valley's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for New Hope Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Illinois Valley will finish 2024 at home by hosting Riddle on December 27th. As for New Hope Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Reedsport at 6:00 p.m. on December 30th.
