Softball Recap: Hamden Hall Country Day Hornets vs. Canterbury School Saints

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marianapolis Prep, Hamden Hall Country Day was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Canterbury School Saints 4-3. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Chloe Carling spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Melanie Carling was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Caitlin Leslie was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.
