Football Recap: South Fort Myers Comes Up Short

After flying high against East Lee County last Tuesday, South Fort Myers came back down to earth. The Wolfpack fell 6-0 to the Estero Wildcats on Thursday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Wolfpack were not able to get on the board.

South Fort Myers' defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Estero, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Fort Myers will welcome Gateway at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Estero, they will challenge Riverdale at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Wildcats 6, the Raiders 6.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
