Basketball Recap: Berkeley Springs Takes a Loss

Berkeley Springs lost against Hampshire back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Indians took a blow against the Trojans, falling 50-15. The game marked the Indians' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Maddie Close was Berkeley Springs' leading scorer, having posted eight points.

Berkeley Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Hampshire, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berkeley Springs will finish 2025 at home by hosting Maryland School for the Deaf at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hampshire, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against University at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2026.
