Dan River had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They won by a set and slipped past the Halifax County Comets 3-2. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Comets recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Looking ahead, Dan River will venture away from home to face off against George Washington at 7:00 p.m. on September 2. As for Halifax County, they have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Heritage on the 26th.
