The biggest upset of the week belonged to Wakefield, who took down 49th ranked Wakefield, 52-24.

Wake Forest-Rolesville suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after a 14-0 loss to Wake Forest-Rolesville. The Cougars had been ranked 14th, but fell to 27 following the defeat.

Heritage's Blake Walters and Greg Clifton have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 4A Cap Eight in both passing and receiving yards. Walters has thrown for 508 yards this season, while Clifton has seven catches for 107 yards. Wake Forest-Rolesville's Petey Williams leads the league in rushing yards with 403.

Two highly touted recruits will be in the spotlight when the Wolverines and Reggie Lucas's team meet this week. Wakefield features well-regarded senior Connor Mitch while the Cougars has Bryce Love, a sought after sophomore.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Rod Sink's team takes on Wake Forest-Rolesville. The Wolverines are currently in third, while the Cougars are in first.

Wake Forest-Rolesville extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Broughton, 14-0. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Cougars.
