Volleyball Recap: Notre Dame Prep Takes Down Canyon Del Oro in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, Notre Dame Prep rose to the challenge on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Canyon del Oro Dorados as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Saints have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Dorados, too.

Notre Dame Prep was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-19, 25-16.

Notre Dame Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cassidy Graninger led the charge by getting nine digs and six assists. That's the most assists Graninger has posted since back in September. Alex Heritage was another key player, getting three digs and two aces.

Notre Dame Prep was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Canyon del Oro only served eight.

Notre Dame Prep is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-12 record this season. As for Canyon del Oro, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 18-16 record.

Coming up, Notre Dame Prep will host Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Canyon del Oro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
