Basketball Recap: Crestwood Snags Seventh Victory in Last Nine Games

Crestwood had won two straight home games and Hannah Ward did her part to make it three on Wednesday. The Crestwood Red Devils skirted past the Louisville Leopards 50-48 thanks in part to Ward, who posted 12 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. What's more, she also racked up five blocks, the most she's had since back in January of 2024.

Livia Martini was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last five games she's played.

Crestwood is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Louisville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Crestwood will be taking part in a tournament against Garfield at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Louisville, they will face off against Austintown-Fitch at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. Louisville is facing Austintown-Fitch at the right time seeing as Austintown-Fitch is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
