Preview: Sheldon Huskies vs. Grant Pacers
Sheldon is 9-1 against Grant since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Sheldon Huskies will look to defend their home court against the Grant Pacers at 7:00 p.m. Sheldon will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
Sheldon scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 102-63 victory over Cosumnes Oaks. Given Sheldon's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while Cosumnes Oaks is ranked 330th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Zion Johnson went supernova for Sheldon, almost dropping a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Woodard, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
In what's become a running theme this season, Grant gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 75-42 win over Kennedy at home. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Grant had established a 22 point advantage.
Sheldon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. As for Grant, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-10.
