Mitchell County entered their tilt with Randolph-Clay on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Red Devils 64-44. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Randolph-Clay's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyrion Smith, who went 5-for-12 on his way to 14 points along with eight boards and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Nekevious Josey, who shot 55% from the field en route to 16 points.

Mitchell County's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Randolph-Clay, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.

Mitchell County will venture away from home to face off against Stewart County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Randolph-Clay, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-49 win against Quitman County on the 24th.
