Basketball Recap: Four Straight Home Victories for Athens

Athens won against Sangamon Valley/Tri-City on Monday with 36 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. The Athens Warriors beat the Tri-City Tornadoes by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 36-34. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 58-40 win back in January.

Despite the loss, Tri-City still got an impressive performance from RJ Sullivan, who posted 14 points. Those 14 points gave Sullivan a new career-high.

Athens pushed their record up to 16-17 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Tri-City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-19 record this season.
