Nevis had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 41.5 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They blew past the Red Lake Warriors 89-51. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Warriors are ranked 248th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Red Lake's loss came despite strong showings from Tyrone Beaulieu Jr and Dimitruis Harris. Beaulieu Jr posted 14 points and four steals, while Harris went 6-for-13 to rack up 13 points and five boards. Beaulieu Jr has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Arius Curry, who had five points.

Nevis' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 92.3 points over those games. As for Red Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
