Recap: Ontario Warriors vs. River Valley Vikings
The Ontario Warriors suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They were the victim of a tough 82-58 loss at the hands of River Valley. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ontario in their matchups with River Valley: they've now lost six in a row.
River Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carson Smith led the charge by scoring 25 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Smith is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. Ayden Kenney was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Ontario has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for River Valley, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.
Ontario will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Clear Fork at 7:15 p.m. One thing working in Clear Fork's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games. As for River Valley, they will head out on the road to take on Pleasant at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. The timing isn't great for Pleasant: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home, while River Valley has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
