Basketball Recap: Lake City Timberwolves vs. Coeur d'Alene Vikings
Lake City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 72-51 to the Coeur d'Alene Vikings. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Timberwolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 75-39 two weeks ago.
Leading Coeur d'Alene to victory were Brookeslee Colvin and Natalie Semprimoznik. Colvin dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 assists, while Semprimoznik went 9 of 18 on her way to 25 points. Those 25 points gave Semprimoznik a new career-high. Kelsey Caroll was another key player, putting up six points and 13 rebounds.
Lake City's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Coeur d'Alene, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake City has already played their next game (against Deer Park), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
