Soccer Game Preview: Atkinson County vs. Tift County + Official Tickets

The Atkinson County Rebels will challenge the Tift County Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Atkinson County is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Thomasville just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Atkinson County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Thomasville are ranked 33rd).

Meanwhile, Tift County's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Colquitt County by a score of 1-0. Tift County haven't had much luck with Colquitt County recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Atkinson County's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Tift County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
