Tonopah is a perfect 10-0 against Sandy Valley since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Tonopah Muckers will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against the Sandy Valley Sidewinders at 1:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses dating back to last season for Tonopah and 14 for Sandy Valley dating back to last season.

Tonopah saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came up short against Laughlin, falling 20-5.

Tonopah saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alyssa Maurer, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Another was Liberty Deck, who scored two runs and stole a base.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Sandy Valley's offense. They lost 16-0 to Laughlin on Tuesday.

Tonopah's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Sandy Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Tonopah took their win against Sandy Valley when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 22-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tonopah since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
