Basketball Recap: Jackson Hole Takes a Loss

Jackson Hole was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 31st straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Star Valley Braves, falling 56-21. If the Broncs were looking for revenge after losing 50-14 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Star Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emily Dana led the charge by putting up 12 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. Dana is becoming a predictor of Star Valley's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is 2-1 (and 3-7 when she doesn't). Ambrey Nelson was another key player, scoring seven points along with seven steals and five boards.

Jackson Hole's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Star Valley, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-8.

Jackson Hole didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-40 loss against Green River on the 6th. As for Star Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 44-30 victory against Rock Springs on the 7th.
