If Verdugo Hills was riding high fresh off their 11-1 takedown of North Hollywood on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dons fell 6-2 to the South Gate Rams on Monday. The Dons' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Bryan Aquino was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Isaiah Guevara also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Verdugo Hills' loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for South Gate, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-12.
