Southeast Yosemite recap October 22, 2013

Tehachapi extended the longest winning streak in Southeast Yosemite this week by beating Highland, 48-20. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Warriors.

North fell to Garces 41-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.

The Rams' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jake Pavletich threw for 241 and 3 touchdowns and Dominic Frasch had 101 yards receiving. On the ground Sheldon Croney contributed 205 yards. Jack Lundy helped Garces' passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 64 yards.

He was 13-18 with 0 interceptions.

Tyrell Eddington made the biggest impact on defense this week as East Bakersfield bested Foothill. The 6-foot-4 junior recorded 2 fumbles and grabbed 1 sacks.

Pavletich put up the best numbers in passing as Garces topped the Stars. Pavletich's favorite target this week was Frasch, who caught 6 passes for 101 yards.

Garces' offense cannot be tamed this season and the Rams feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Pavletich has thrown for 955 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Frasch has 18 catches for 326 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Tehachapi takes on North. At the moment, Steve Denman's team is in first, while Chad Brown's team is in third.
