Basketball Recap: Fletcher Comes Up Short

Fletcher was the 43-23 winner over Sterling when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Fletcher Wildcats took a 46-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sterling Tigers on Monday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fletcher's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Sterling, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 8-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fletcher will square off against Indiahoma at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fletcher is facing Indiahoma at the right time seeing as Indiahoma is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Sterling, they will welcome Chattanooga at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Chattanooga will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something Sterling surely won't give up without a fight.
