Savannah had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.6 points) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Friday. They skirted past the McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers 48-45. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 56-46 win last Tuesday.

Several Buccaneers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jayden Ellis, who went 5-for-12 en route to 14 points. Ellis is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 43% in the last three games he's played. Mj Quarterman was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks.

Savannah's victory bumped their record up to 22-4. As for McIntosh County Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-5.

Savannah and McIntosh County Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Savannah will challenge Wilcox County on Wednesday up 411 places (64 vs. 475). Savannah is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. Similarly, McIntosh County Academy (ranked 94th) will meet Wheeler County (ranked 366th) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
