Baseball Recap: Bosque Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Bosque unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 13-3 to the Socorro Warriors on Wednesday. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Bosque saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Arnel Zamora, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Socorro's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-0.

Looking ahead, Bosque will venture away from home to square off against Zuni at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Socorro, they will host West Mesa at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
