Basketball Recap: Northwest Skates Past Lexington with Ease

Northwest's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They breezed by the Lexington Minutemen to the tune of 61-15. That looming 61-15 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Vikings yet this season.

Northwest's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Reagan Mcintyre led the charge by putting up ten points along with five assists and five steals. With that strong performance, Mcintyre is now averaging an impressive 2.4 steals per game. Evie Keller was another key player, posting six points and three steals.

Northwest now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lexington, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Northwest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 44-17 win against Aurora on the 21st. As for Lexington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 31-27 defeat against Schuyler on the 21st.
