The North Fort Myers Red Knights will host the Riverdale Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (North Fort Myers has seven straight victories, Riverdale has 15 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
North Fort Myers saw some tournament action on Saturday. They blew past Island Coast 52-13. The Red Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season.

North Fort Myers' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bianca Iten, who posted 14 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Iten has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gia Molloy, who went 6 of 8 on her way to 12 points along with seven steals and six boards.
North Fort Myers smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 26 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Riverdale scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were outmatched by Estero and fell 62-24. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 614th, while the Wildcats are ranked 167th).
Raniyah Dubose was Riverdale's leading scorer, having posted 12 points. Bonner Destiny held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.
North Fort Myers pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.9 points per game. As for Riverdale, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.
North Fort Myers didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Riverdale in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 52-48 win. Does North Fort Myers have another victory up their sleeve, or will Riverdale turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
