Baseball Recap: Awaken Christian Comes Up Short

Awaken Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 19-6 to the Lake Mead Christian Academy Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on Tuesday.

Antonio Rubeis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Austin Rasmussen was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

Awaken Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Lake Mead Christian Academy, the win keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Awaken Christian is set to square off against their familiar foe White Pine at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lake Mead Christian Academy will face off against rival Lincoln County at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
