Basketball Recap: Chagrin Falls Skates Past Hawken with Ease

Chagrin Falls won the last time they faced Hawken and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Chagrin Falls Tigers breezed by the Hawken Hawks to the tune of 50-11. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 21 points or more this season.

Lilly Stukus continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 for 17 on her way to 20 points and three steals. Mia Sluder also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steals of the season.

Chagrin Falls was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hawken only posted two assists.

Hawken's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Sophia Cicerini, who posted five points, and Rilynn Knighton, who scored three points.

Chagrin Falls' win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-5. As for Hawken, they dropped their record down to 0-12 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Chagrin Falls has already played their next matchup, a 60-38 victory against Kenston on the 18th. As for Hawken, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 34-25 defeat against Beaumont School on the 18th.
