Soccer Recap: Saratoga Find Success

Saratoga's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They won by a goal and slipped past the San Mateo Bearcats 3-2.

Akash Gupta and Finn Smith scored all three of Saratoga's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Saratoga now has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for San Mateo, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Saratoga and Hillsdale will compete for holiday cheer at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. Saratoga's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for San Mateo, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the San Mateo face off against the Burlingame at 4:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
