Basketball Recap: Bishop Moore Takes a Loss

After soaring to 70 points the game before, Bishop Moore was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They were beaten by the Lake Howell Silverhawks 56-26. The contest marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Bishop Moore saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mark Dadlani posted seven points.

Lake Howell's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Janiel De Los Santos, who went 5 for 11 en route to 11 points. De Los Santos has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Isaac Buckley was another key player, putting up six points and nine boards.

Bishop Moore dropped their record down to 4-18 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Lake Howell, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-4.

Bishop Moore wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 72-57 loss against University Christian on the 25th. Lake Howell has also already played their next game, a 62-61 defeat against Evans on the 24th.
