Basketball Game Preview: Chesterton Academy vs. Stockbridge

Chesterton Academy will head out on the road to face off against Stockbridge at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Chesterton Academy will be strutting in after a win while Stockbridge will be coming in after a loss.

While Chesterton Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 16-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They claimed a resounding 72-17 victory over Hmong Academy. Chesterton Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 33 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Stockbridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 45-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Washington County HomeSchool.

Chesterton Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 42.7 points. As for Stockbridge, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

Chesterton Academy took their win against Stockbridge in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 47-25. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chesterton Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
