Portville won the last time they faced Southwestern and things went their way on Monday too. The Panthers blew past the Trojans 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Portville was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-10, 25-11.

Ali Haynes paced Portville's offense, picking up 15 kills. Haynes got some help from Addie Walker and her 27 assists. Marissa Carls controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Portville's win bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Southwestern, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Portville and Our Lady of Mercy will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Southwestern, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Chautauqua Lake at 6:30 p.m. on the 16th.
