Game recap: Mater Dei High School Football Team tops Servite

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) saw its 21-point lead dwindle to seven, but still managed to hang on and upset Servite (Anaheim, Calif.) 28-21 on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a Justin Allen touchdown run in the first quarter, the Monarchs were up 21-7 at the half.

Each side put up seven points during the third quarter, and at the beginning of the fourth it was still a 14 point game.

Allen and Team ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Friars. Allen scored two touchdowns on the ground and Team added two as well.

In a Trinity game next week Mater Dei (6-0) takes on JSerra Catholic, and Servite (3-3) will go up against Santa Margarita also in a Trinity game.
