They escaped with a win last Friday against Brunswick by the margin of a single free throw, 59-58. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Saints as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Saint James found their leader in sophomore Tenley Mullendore, who went 8 of 15 on her way to 21 points and six steals. The dominant performance gave Mullendore a new career-high in steals. CLAIRE BARNES was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Saint James now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Springdale Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-14.
Everything came up roses for Springdale Prep against Saint James when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 69-24 win.
