Volleyball Recap: Esperanza Comes Up Short

Esperanza was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Sonora Raiders. The Aztecs were not able to make up for their loss to the Raiders from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-16, 18-25, 25-21.

Esperanza's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Sonora, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Esperanza is taking a road trip to face off against Sunny Hills at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sonora, they will challenge La Habra at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
