Soccer Recap: Blacksburg Takes Down Monacan in a Playoff Battle

Blacksburg extended their postseason success on Friday against Monacan. They skirted past the Chiefs 2-1. That's two games straight that Blacksburg have won by just one goal.

Craig Huxtable was the driving force of Blacksburg's attack as he scored both of Blacksburg's goals, bringing his season total up to 15 goals.

The victory made it two in a row for Blacksburg and bumps their season record up to 19-2. As for Monacan, with the loss, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-6-1.

Blacksburg wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 defeat against Jamestown on the 14th. Monacan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
