Lake Balboa College Prep took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-23.

Bert Corona Charter walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 25-20, 26-24, 25-27, 25-13.

Lake Balboa College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Bert Corona Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
