Basketball Recap: USC-MAE Takes a Loss

USC-MAE was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 40-39 heartbreaker at the hands of the Orthopaedic Vipers. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by just one point.

USC-MAE lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Adrion Gilbert, who posted 16 points. Gilbert's afternoon made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Johnson, who put up 13 points.

USC-MAE's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Orthopaedic, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

USC-MAE wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 48-40 victory against Aspire Ollin on the 24th. Orthopaedic has also already played their next contest, a 47-43 win against Downtown Magnets on the 24th.
