Last Thursday, Glendale Prep Academy took their match at home with ease, bagging a 81-14 victory over BASIS Phoenix. Given Glendale Prep Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while BASIS Phoenix is ranked 276th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Glendale Prep Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maddox Smith, who scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Andersen, who scored 12 points along with 5 assists.
Meanwhile, Veritas Prep came up short against Leading Edge Academy - GEC on Wednesday and fell 57-49.
Glendale Prep Academy's win lifted them to 7-1 while BASIS Phoenix's defeat dropped them down to 1-6.
