The Choctawhatchee Indians will face off against the Columbia Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Choctawhatchee is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Booker T. Washington 49-6. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-6.

Tamen Zabetakis produced another solid effort rushing for 87 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries, while also throwing for 69 yards and three TDs. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August. Choctawhatchee's leading receiver Zion Legree was Zabetakis' top target yet again, picking up 39 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Meanwhile, Columbia never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Rickards, posting a 35-0 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Columbia's win came from a few key players Choctawhatchee will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Xavier Collins, who threw for 206 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 72% of his passes.

Columbia's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Choctawhatchee, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.

Choctawhatchee took their win against Columbia in their previous meeting back in November of 2023 by a conclusive 37-14 score. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
