Basketball Recap: North Thurston Comes Up Short

North Thurston played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Lincoln Abes and fell 66-37. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Abes: they've now lost six in a row.

North Thurston's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Liam Sheeran, who posted eight points and four steals. With that strong performance, Sheeran is now averaging an impressive 2.3 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Micah Anderson, who earned four points.

Even though they lost, North Thurston smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2023.

North Thurston's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lincoln, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

North Thurston wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 57-45 victory against Peninsula on the 13th. As for Lincoln, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 47-39 win against Gig Harbor on the 13th.
