Basketball Recap: Clarksville Takes a Loss

Clarksville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 56-47 to the Scottsburg Warriors. The Generals lost against the Warriors in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 68-31 score last time.

Despite the loss, Clarksville still got an impressive performance from Josh Hall, who went 7 for 11 to rack up 20 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ray McClendon, who posted 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Clarksville's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Scottsburg, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-11.

Coming up, Clarksville will square off against New Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Scottsburg, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 82-71 victory against South Central on the 8th.
