The Barrington Eagles will face off against the Classical Purple at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.
Barrington is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: La Salle Academy, who was ranked first at the time (Barrington was ranked fourth). Barrington took a 77-59 bruising from La Salle Academy on Thursday. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Barrington's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Caleb Satisfield, who posted 25 points, and Ryan Rigamonti, who put up 21 points. With that strong performance, Satisfield is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin McDermott, who earned six points.
Meanwhile, Classical entered their tilt with East Providence on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 63-50 win over the Townies.
Barrington better focus on containing Eliezer Delbrey and Abdul Evans as the pair were huge in Classical's win. Delbrey posted 22 points, while Evans put up 23 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Delbrey has scored at least a third of Classical's points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Duke, who had seven points.
Classical is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Barrington, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Barrington and Classical are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Barrington hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 60 points per game. However, it's not like Classical struggles in that department as they've been averaging 64.2 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Barrington came up short against Classical in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 75-66. Will Barrington have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
