Basketball Recap: Henry County Comes Up Short

Henry County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 60-45 bruising from the Eminence Warriors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-38 back in December of 2024.

Eminence found their leader in freshman Victoria Spiegl, who went 7 of 12 from beyond the arc on her way to 32 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Spiegl has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 27 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Georgia Scott, who posted six points along with ten boards and four steals.

Henry County's loss dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Eminence, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-11.

Henry County will take on Trimble County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Eminence, they will face off against Brown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
