Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jace Collison and Baron Burns Lead Larimore to Victory

Larimore hadn't done well against Hatton/Northwood recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Everything went the Larimore Polar Bears' way against the Hatton/Northwood Thunder as the Larimore Polar Bears made off with a 64-40 victory. For the Polar Bears, this counts as revenge for the 59-49 win the Thunder walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Leading Larimore to victory were Baron Burns and Jace Collison. Burns almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds, while Collison went 6 of 15 en route to 17 points and six assists. The matchup was Collison's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Myers, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 13 points.

The victory got Larimore back to even at 5-5. As for Hatton/Northwood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Larimore has already played their next game (against New Rockford-Sheyenne), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hatton/Northwood will take on Maple River at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
