Word of Life Christian Academy lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Saturday was a bit more commanding. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 57-35 walloping at the hands of Sandy Valley. Word of Life Christian Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sandy Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Damion Turner led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Turner continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Christopher LeClair was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.

Word of Life Christian Academy now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Sandy Valley, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.

Word of Life Christian Academy and the Eagles will face off at 4:00 p.m. on February 7th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Sandy Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against the Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty Baptist Academy is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
